This does not mean that you have to sell your wide screen TV but it does allow you to have a clear out of all your cupboards, garage and loft space. You might already have been through your possessions at some point but when faced with a financial downturn and the need to make money now it is amazing what you can find.

There are a number of positive benefits to this exercise. Not only will it raise money for your household (potentially enough to pay the unexpected bills or provide a lifeline for a month or even longer) but it also clears out a lot of clutter from your life. ‘De-cluttering’ can have a very positive influence on you, especially if you are in a position where you are trying to get your finances back on track. A home lacking clutter is more conducive to improvements as your fortunes improve. Those old things that you have sold can be replaced with better, more up to date versions in the future. Many people will recycle their goods regularly in this way, allowing them to own the most modern household, sports and recreational goods.

Seeing that your superfluous goods are providing you with immediate income will further motivate you in your need to make money now. Maybe you will be more positive in your search for a new job, or part time work to tide you over. Activity is always superior to procrastination and more likely to bring you the security and income your desire. You will be out and about speaking to people, in the right place at the right time to take on a temporary position.
